Himsagar mango is a popular mango variety that originated in modern Bangladesh and the Indian state of West Bengal. Widely regarded as the champagne of mangoes, the inside of Himsagar is yellow to orange and has no fibre. The fruit is medium-sized and weighs between 250 and 350 grams, of which the pulp is about 77%. It is also known as Khirsapati. Himsagar mango ripens at the end of May and is available in the market from the fourth week of May to the end of June.
